Senior SAP SD / PS Consultant

From Morgan Philips Executive Search, we are looking for a Senior SAP SD / PS Consultant for a strong multinational company located in Madrid.

As part of the SAP Europe Africa team, the Consultant will have the mission of executing the rollout of the global SAP Sales and Distribution and Project Systems template solution across the different regions. After the template deployment, the focus turns into managing the demand for new requirements and the application support services, ensuring the full alignment of the services delivered by the global IT Delivery Hub and the BU EA business needs.

Responsibilities

As part of rollout projects:

• Conduct and lead the execution of the project activities in the area of SD / PS during the different project phases (Fit-Gap Analysis, Build, Testing, Training, Data Migration, Roles and Authorizations, Go-live activities, Hypercare, Transition to Operations…).
• Prepare functional designs for the accepted gaps in SD / PS module. Validate and approve them in case they are prepared by external resources assigned to the project.
• Coordinate and ensure with the rest of the SAP team that the SD / PS solutions are consistent with the other SAP modules.
• Coordinate and ensure with other IT teams that the SD / PS solutions are end-to end consistent from a business process point of view as well as from a systems integration point of view.
• Align with the respective Application Managers in the IT Delivery Hub the validation of the project change requests.
• Manage the tasks and deliverables of external resources assigned to the area of SD / PS during the project.

As part of operations activities (after template deployment):

• Identify potential template optimizations or improvements and manage the delivery by the global ITDH
• Analyse template changes coming from other Business Units and identify potential impacts on BU EA
• Support BU EA business in template process adoption and template solution understanding

 
Key requirements

• Degree in IT, engineering, business or comparable qualification
• Minimum 5 years of experience as Senior SAP SD / PS consultant
• Deep functional knowledge of SAP SD / PS
• Technical knowledge:
  • Basic ABAP skills to understand and communicate with developers.
  • Capacity to understand and analyse OSS Notes related to SD / PS
  • Knowledge of SD / PS data model, tables and user-exits
  • Knowledge of EDI and middleware technologies. Experience in designing interfaces with other systems
• Experience in SAP implementation projects:
  • Experience in international rollout projects including all the project phases and work-streams as described before
  • Experience in managing external resources or teams
• Experience in SAP Lifecycle management and template governance
• Fluent spoken and written English. Other european languages are an advantage
• Willingness to travel internationally
